Max Verstappen needs to be ‘more GRACIOUS’ in defeat, claims 2016 world champion Nico Rosberg, after the Dutchman sulked over finishing behind team-mate Sergio Perez in Saudi Arabia

Nico Rosberg has taken a swipe at Max Verstappen and has told the Dutchman to be ‘more gracious’ in defeat after he griped at finishing second in Saudi Arabia. ‘I recovered to second which is good and in general the whole feeling in the team is happy,’ Verstappen said afterwards. He went on to add: ‘When you are fighting for a championship and it looks like it is just between two cars [Verstappen and Perez] you have to make sure the two cars are reliable. Verstappen against Perez feels like the match-up to watch this season with the RB19 car so far ahead of everyone else in race pace. While Verstappen is the defacto No 1 driver in the team, Perez is a ferocious competitor and after two races they each have one win and one second-placed finish. Verstappen currently leads the driver standings on 44 points, with Perez one adrift with 43.
