Max Verstappen is made to wait for the Formula One crown as team-mate Sergio Perez wins the Singapore Grand Prix ahead of Charles Leclerc… and Lewis Hamilton admits ‘I f***ed up’ after crashing and finishing ninth

Max Verstappen was made to wait for his second world championship crown after finishing seventh in the Singapore Grand Prix, which was won by his Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez. Lap 28/61:¬†Sainz is now 16 seconds off Leclerc in second but Hamilton still can’t find a way past. Lap 18/61:¬†Russell is still down in 16th and struggling to get past Bottas. Lap 11/61:¬†Verstappen gets past Vettel and Gasly, and could be back on track for a win. Lap 6/61:¬†Leclerc is chasing down Perez and looking to reclaim his lead. Lap 4/61:¬†Perez has already taken his lead to 1.2 seconds, while Russell has advanced to 18th after starting in the pits. Lap 2/61:¬†It’s a brilliant start for Vettel who has found his way up to 11th. Sergio Perez takes the lead in the first lap after an average start from Leclerc.
