Max Verstappen insists his rivalry with Lewis Hamilton is ‘not all that bad’ and claims ‘all is forgiven’ despite being hospitalised following British Grand Prix crash and incident at Monza

Max Verstappen has told Lewis Hamilton ‘all is forgiven’ as the Red Bull star revealed he hopes Formula One’s scintillating championship battle will be decided at the final race. Verstappen leads Hamilton by just six points ahead of Sunday’s United States Grand Prix here in Austin. Verstappen was apoplectic, and Hamilton was deemed to be at fault for the crash. On that occasion, Verstappen was adjudged the guilty party – punished with a grid penalty at the ensuing race. ‘Nobody looks to get together in a race but unfortunately these things happen. ‘If we have the pace in the car to win the championship, we will win the championship, and if we don’t have the pace, we won’t. But winning a championship wouldn’t change the world for me, and it would be wrong if it did.
