Max Verstappen insists he’s keeping cool amid Formula One title war with Lewis Hamilton and championship defeat to Mercedes star ‘is not going to change my life’

Max Verstappen isn’t phased by the mounting pressure of his world championship fight against Lewis Hamilton, insisting defeat doesn’t scare him. It was another strong weekend for Verstappen though, finishing second despite fitting a new power unit and taking a grid penalty which dropped the Red Bull to the back. ‘I always do my best and I know that the team is also doing the best they can,’ Verstappen said. Now Verstappen is focused on retaking the championship lead and an eighth victory of the season. ‘I know that my team does the best they can and they expect that from me and I always try to get the best out of that,’ he added.
