VALENCIA, Spain – Repsol Honda Team officials confirmed Sunday that six-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez has been discharged from hospital care after undergoing surgery on Dec. 3. Marquez suffered a broken right humerus during the MotoGP opener in July and underwent surgery to repair the injury. Marquez’s progress after a third surgery performed 10 days ago to graft bone from his hip to his arm, as well as the start of antibiotic therapy, has been deemed satisfactory by his medical team to allow for his discharge from Hospital Ruber Internacional in Madrid. While no recovery time was given by team officials Sunday, Marquez is anticipated to be sidelined for another six months, likely ruling him out for the start of the new MotoGP season on March 28 in Qatar.
