M-Sport Ford chief Richard Millener says last week’s Vodafone Rally de Portugal demonstrated the British squad’s tenacity as well as the pace of the Ford Puma Rally1 Hybrid. Both Ott Tänak and Pierre-Louis Loubet won stages and spent time in the lead of the Matosinhos-based event, with the Estonian former world champion ending the event fourth – but still second in the championship standings. Tänak’s hopes of a second 2023 victory were curtailed when he suffered tyre issues on the opening day. “Ott’s pace at the beginning of the rally was fantastic and he continues to show us what both he and the car can really do.
