SOMERTON, Ariz. — The recently concluded Winter Nationals at Cocopah Speedway ended the eight-day event by announcing the point champion in each of the five IMCA divisions. All nights of Winter Nationals action can be viewed on SPEED SPORT affiliate IMCA.tv. Ward won on the first and third nights and was steady enough on the other nights to win the championship title by one point. A stout Winter Nationals of two wins, two seconds, and three other starts in the top-10 was more than enough to lock the championship. After it was all said and done, this year’s Winter Nationals averaged 223 cars per night over the seven full nights of racing.
