Lewis Hamilton would BEAT Michael Schumacher if both were in their prime and driving the same car, claims pundit Eddie Jordan, because of his ‘extra control’… as he insists Ferrari ‘need’ the seven-time world champion

Lewis Hamilton would ‘just about edge’ Michael Schumacher if they were both driving in the same car in their prime, according to former F1 owner Eddie Jordan. The two drivers are tied on a world record seven world championships each, and did race against each other at the end of Schumacher’s career and the beginning of Hamilton’s. Schumacher would stick his elbows out more than Hamilton, but Hamilton has that extra piece of control. I’ll stick my neck out and say that Hamilton just about edges Schumacher if they were both driving in the same car.’. ‘Formula 1 needs Lewis Hamilton in a Ferrari and Ferrari needs Lewis Hamilton,’ he said, after ruling out the idea of him joining Red Bull. The only other places I see Hamilton going is Ferrari or staying at Mercedes.
