LEWIS Hamilton will be knighted at Windsor tomorrow — three days after his controversial world title defeat. Furious fans claimed he had been robbed of a record eighth world crown after leading for most of the race. Hamilton, awarded an MBE in 2009, was set for a win with an 11-second lead only for Verstappen, 24, to snatch a dramatic last-lap victory after the Dutchman was allowed to catch up while racing was halted for a crash. Gracious Lewis — who has campaigned for BLM and LGBTQ+ issues in the sport — congratulated his rival and tomorrow will put his pain to one side when he is told: “Arise, Sir Lewis.”.
