Lewis Hamilton starts SEVENTH at the Monaco Grand Prix after nightmare qualifying session as Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc takes provisional pole despite his crash bringing out the red flag… with Max Verstappen and Valtteri Bottas just behind him

Charles Leclerc took pole position for the Monaco Grand Prix – and then crashed his Ferrari. Leclerc starts on pole for now… but for how much longer?. Leclerc crashes into the barriers at the chicane and the red flag comes out! Hamilton hasn’t really looked threatening today but can he somehow find something extra in Q3?. Verstappen, Sainz and Leclerc remain in the top three while Hamilton stays down in sixth… Mercedes struggling to find the same pace as Ferrari and Red Bull so far this weekend. Verstappen, Sainz and Leclerc are the top three currently. Hamilton having no fortune around the Monaco track at present, sitting seventh fastest. Norris had again set the fastest lap, before Red Bull’s Verstappen usurped him at the top. Sainz, Verstappen and Leclerc are fastest right now – following a similar theme to final practice… It hasn’t been the best of starts to the weekend for Hamilton.
