Lewis Hamilton has declared himself fit for the second half of his title defence, shrugging off concerns that he is struggling with long Covid. But ahead of Sunday’s Belgian Grand Prix, Hamilton said: ‘I spent the summer break making sure I am in the best shape and now feel I am there for the second half of the season. It is still to be finalised who will drive alongside Hamilton next year, though George Russell is favourite to win the seat over the incumbent Valtteri Bottas. ‘Any driver wants to go against the best and Lewis is the greatest of all time.’.
