Red Bull boss Christian Horner is backing ‘Tyson Fury-like’ Max Verstappen to maintain his slender advantage and beat bitter rival Lewis Hamilton to the Formula One championship. Verstappen heads to Saudi Arabia, the penultimate race of the 2021 season, with an eight point lead over Hamilton, who is growing in confidence after winning the last two races. Hamilton recently spoke to BBC Sport and one of the comments is likely to have wrangled with Red Bull. ‘You just have to be very, very wary – more wary than ever before,’ Hamilton explained, when asked about Verstappen’s no-nonsense driving. Before producing one of the drives of his life to win in Brazil, Hamilton had won just one of the previous eight races. I would put money on Max’s first flying lap in Saudi Arabia being the fastest of any driver.’.
