BRISTOL, Tenn. – Whether it was due in part to favorable track conditions early, or “just a little bit of luck,” Raphael Lessard paced the opening round of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series practice Friday on the dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway. Lessard came into the weekend with no competitive dirt experience in his racing career. Gilliland had the fastest 10-lap average during first Truck Series practice, at 91.525 mph. He did a 360-degree spin inside of 10 minutes to go in opening practice.
