Leonard Collects First Career Victory At Airborne

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Matt Leonard, a graduate from the Limited Sportsman division one a year ago, collected his first career checkered flag in the 25-lap J&S Steel Sportsman feature event at Airborne Speedway on Saturday. Leonard started on the pole and led all the way, holding off racing veteran Jamy Begor in the final 10 laps. Begor finished in the second position, while Codie Aubin finished third after a side-by-side battle with Robert Delormier, who settled for fourth. The Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman division saw a first time Airborne winner, as Pryor Stacey won the 15-lap feature event. Feature (25 Laps): Leonard, Begor, Aubin, Delormier, Branham, Forbes, Swamp, T. Bruno, Phinney, Rivers, Wells, Gray, Reeves, Cayea, Wright, Castell, Heywood, J.
