Larson Carries Momentum To Earn Pole Position In Phoenix

Kyle Larson carried over momentum from Friday night’s practice to earn pole position during Saturday’s NASCAR Cup Series qualifying session at Phoenix Raceway. Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin will start Sunday’s race from the outside of the front row, placing second with a fast lap of 27.707 seconds at 129.931 mph in his No. RFK Racing’s Brad Keselowski and Joe Gibbs Racing’s Christopher Bell completed the top five. Michael McDowell, Ryan Blaney, Kyle Busch and Erik Jones rounded out the top 10. The Ruoff Mortgage 500 will take the green at 3:30 p.m. (ET) on March 12 at Phoenix Raceway.
