Sebastian Vettel hinted that he may be retiring prematurely at the end of the season after a successful session of qualifying made him feel ‘sad’ at the Japanese Grand Prix on Saturday. The Aston Martin star made Q3 against the odds — an achievement his team have struggled to meet this year — and admitted that his fantastic performance made him feel ‘sad’ with the prospect of retirement looming. I have enjoyed it so much over the years – and I had a wonderful day today. ‘We will see what we can do tomorrow, but I am just very happy about today.
