Lance Stroll raced in Bahrain GP 12 days after treatment for four fractures

Lance Stroll raced in the Bahrain Grand Prix just 12 days after receiving medical treatment for fractures in his hands, wrist and foot. Stroll, 24, revealed the extent of his injuries in an Instagram post. Stroll said his medical team initially thought he would miss “the first few races”. Stroll said Dr Mir told him after surgery that he would definitely be able to return for the second race of the season in Saudi Arabia, on 17-19 March. Stroll added: “With a bit of luck, he was optimistic I could race in Bahrain – but that was a faint possibility.”. My medical team devised a programme that would help me restore mobility and strength in my wrists.
