Reigning Indy Lights champion Kyle Kirkwood will step up to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES full time in 2022, driving the famous No. Kirkwood won 10 races – tying Greg Moore’s series record set in 1995 – and seven poles in 20 races. He won numerous races and titles before moving into cars in 2016, when he competed in the inaugural F4 series. “What I’ve learned in my three INDYCAR tests is that the Indy Lights car and the Indy car are not massively different,” Kirkwood said. Kirkwood is the second driver from the 2021 Indy Lights lineup to confirm a climb to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in 2022.
