A ‘challenged’ Max Verstappen becomes ‘even better’, according to dad Jos, after the defending Formula One champion bounced back from disappointment in Monaco to win in Azerbaijan. Jos Verstappen was critical of Red Bull and their strategists in the principality of Monaco. ‘You could see Max was very motivated,’ Jos wrote in his column on Verstappen’s website. Dad Jos is not one to mince his words when it comes to the handling of his son’s races at Red Bull. After his remarks in Monaco that Max ‘was not helped’ by those on the Red Bull pit-wall, team principal Christian Horner fired back.
