Jason McDougal Retires From Driving

McDougal, who has recently wheeled a KO Motorsports sprint car on the USAC circuit, started his career driving micro sprints and advanced through midgets and into the sprint car ranks. McDougal, who is 26, said he will turn his focus to building chassis, which is where he got his start in the sport as his family operates Factor1 Chassis. “The past five years of my life I’ve been able to live my dream in racing,” McDougal said on Twitter. “Times change and we grow older and move into different things in life, and that is where I am. For the time being I will be retiring from racing professionally with my focus shifted on building frames and having something consistent in life.”. McDougal owns two USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car Series triumphs and a pair of USAC NOS Energy Midget Series victories.
