It’s All Timms In Volusia Sprint

BARBERVILLE, Fla. — Ryan Timms laid his eyes on Volusia Speedway Park for the first time about five hours before Friday night’s United Sprint Car Series feature at the half-mile dirt track. The 16-year-old sprint car driver drove like a veteran and ended his night in victory lane on night one of the inaugural Germfree Southern Sprint Car Shootout. Timms lapped up to eighth place and crossed the finish line with an incredible 7.406-second margin of victory. “I love this place,” Timms said with a smile after taking the $3,000 score. “It’s not like what I thought it would be – in a good way – and it’s such a blast to race.
