INDYCAR Writers’ Roundtable, Vol. 37: Who Will Drive to 50?

Foyt and Mario Andretti both raced in the INDYCAR SERIES into their 50s, but it’s very rare these days to see drivers race in the series into their late 40s, let alone 50s. Which of today’s full-time NTT INDYCAR SERIES drivers could you see still competing in the series at age 50?. But he only turns 42 in July, and I can’t see him spending seven or eight more years in the series. Zach Horrall: I can very easily see Takuma Sato competing in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES for five more years, at least. This guy still has a lot left in the tank for the next five plus years, be it a full NTT INDYCAR SERIES ride or an Indy 500-only ride.
