IndyCar Notes: Road Racing In Alabama

After two street races and an oval race to begin the year, the NTT IndyCar Series will compete at the first pure road course of the campaign Sunday at Alabama’s Barber Motorsports Park. Grosjean, who’s still searching for his first career IndyCar win, finished second at Long Beach. While an Andretti race car hasn’t won at Barber since Ryan Hunter-Reay in 2014, the team is poised to challenge for a win. 10 CGR Honda has an average finish of 1.5, highlighted by his first career win in 2021. Last year’s event at Barber featured a powerful drive from O’Ward, who snagged the lead from polesitter Rinus VeeKay late in the race, to score the win aboard the No. Though the perfect place to reverse his fortune would be in Barber as the defending race winner. Though he sits ninth in points, Power’s season has been inconsistent to this point.
