Hubbard Is A Virginia Sprint Winner

SHENANDOAH, Va. – Billy Hubbard captured his first sprint car victory Saturday night, claiming the 25-lap Virginia Sprint Series opener at Shenandoah Speedway. Hubbard used his outside front row starting position to grab the top spot from Matt Mullins when the race began and never looked back. The Virginia Sprint Series is a 305 Race Saver series that competes on both dirt and pavement throughout the season. Saturday’s season opener was contested on the asphalt of Shenandoah Speedway. In victory lane Hubbard explained he had minimal sprint car experience entering Saturday night’s event. Saturday’s Virginia Sprint Series event was the first asphalt sprint car race this year contested outside of the state of Florida.
