Herta keeps rookies up front in final INDYCAR GP practice

A day after NTT IndyCar Series newcomer Felix Rosenqvist appropriately won the NTT P1 Award for the pole position in the No. 10 NTT DATA Chip Ganassi Racing Honda, fellow rookie Colton Herta was fastest in Saturday morning’s 30-minute warmup – the last practice before the sixth annual race on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.
Herta turned a best lap of 1 minute, 9.2003 seconds (126.884 mph) in the No. 88 GESS International Honda for Harding Steinbrenner Racing.
Herta, who qualified fourth, clocked the fastest lap of the weekend in a Friday practice.
