Hearn Back Behind Wheel For DIRTcar Nationals

SUSSEX, N.J. — After a limited racing schedule in 2020, perennial dirt modified champion Brett Hearn will be back behind the wheel of his familiar No. 20 Big-Block DIRTcar Modified for the five-race DIRTcar Nationals, Feb. 9-13, at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. His trip to Florida is a chance to get back in competition prior to the start of his second season as the director of motorsports at Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, N.Y. “Last year, we had planned to run 12-15 races, but the COVID-19 pandemic cut us back to just nine outings,” said Hearn. Hearn is no stranger to success at Volusia, posting 21 victories at the Central Florida half-mile dirt track. Seven of Hearn’s Volusia victories have been in the extra-distance DIRTcar Nationals finale.
