“I made a mistake in FP2 and damaged the car,” said the world championship leader.
Lewis Hamilton: “The boys tried really hard to fix it, but there wasn’t enough time.”
Lewis Hamilton: “I don’t remember the last time I missed a whole session before.”
Hamilton explained he was simply pushing too hard when he hit the wall at turn nine.
“It was an innocent mistake,” Lewis Hamilton said.
Lewis Hamilton: “The boys will do a great job fixing the car tonight and we’ll come back ready for a better day tomorrow.”
