Hamilton IS back, race director Masi’s future is in doubt, brand new cars will provide MORE competition and Sprints could be axed! The new F1 season is already hotting up – and it’s five weeks away!

It barely feels like five minutes have passed since jaws hit the floor when Max Verstappen spectacularly overtook Lewis Hamilton on the last lap of the last race to win his first ever Formula One title in Abu Dhabi. F1’s Australian Race Director has been Public Enemy No 1 since his decision to allow Verstappen to catch Hamilton under a safety car before sealing the title. But back to the track and one things fans will no longer see in 2022 is drivers taking a knee at the front of the grid before a race. But F1 is set to pull the allocated slot from its pre-race schedule for the new season. Rookie driver Guanyu Zhou will make his mark in Bahrain as the first Chinese driver ever to race in a F1 Grand Prix. I think we will have three sprint races but I don’t know that.
