Gravel Shoots Past Sweet In Latest Sprint Rankings

With a pair of runner-up finishes this weekend, David Gravel moved past World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series point leader Brad Sweet to hold the lead in the National Sprint Car Rankings. Gravel boasts an average finish of 3.472 in 68 starts, compared to Sweet’s average finish of 3.5 in 67 races. One hundred and 53 drivers have made the 20 starts required to be eligible for the rankings and 898 racers have run a winged 410 sprint car race this season. Freddie Rahmer holds the top spot in the Eastern region, while Joe B. Miller has a commanding advantage in the Mid-America region. Cap Henry leads the Great Lakes region, with Mark Dobmeier on top of the Great Plains region.
