Valtteri Bottas (3rd, 1:28.905): “When I first went out on track this morning it felt more like rallying, it was quite far away from the normal driving standards that we’re used to in Formula One. We just need to get a grip of it, we need to use tomorrow what we’ve learned today. What we did know was that the first priority was getting the tyres to work. The car performance is dominated by tyres with this new tarmac and track temperatures, and we’re expecting similar conditions on Sunday to what we had today. I hope the track rubbers in a bit tomorrow, gets faster and more grippy because it was not fun out there. Overall, it was a pretty fun day, there was not a lap that didn’t feel like you had to constantly work.
