DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — Performance Tech Motorsports is closing out the season with a driver lineup shakeup featuring team veteran James French. After a brief hiatus from the LMP3 realm, French is back with Performance Tech Motorsports for the IMSA Fastlane Sportscar Weekend Aug. 4-7 at Road America. Team Principal Brent O’Neill is thrilled to welcome back the Wisconsin native, a longstanding member of the Performance Tech family. “It’s really great to have James back” O’Neill said. French raced with the team intermittently for nearly a decade, most notably playing a role in the team’s 2017 IMSA WeahterTech Sportscar Championship and IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup Championship titles. “I’m ecstatic to be reuniting with Performance Tech to compete in my home race at Road America in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship,” French said.
