FP2: Rome expert Evans hits the top

Three-time Rome race winner Mitch Evans (Jaguar TCS Racing) closed out Free Practice 2 with a meteoric 1m37.881s firing him to the top of the timesheets and almost half-a-second inside last year’s pole time at the 19-turn 3.385km Circuito Cittadino dell’EUR. It was another hot start for the Formula E grid, as they get their final practice session in before qualifying for the Hankook Rome E-Prix. Several drivers were using the 30 minute session to explore the limits of the circuit, with a few early yellow flags for offs at Turn 7. The likes of Jaguar TCS Racing’s Mitch Evans, and both the NIO 333 drivers found themselves doing a 180 degree spin down the escape road.
