FP1: Standings leader de Vries bounces back with fastest time in Free Practice 1

Nyck de Vries (Mercedes-EQ) hit back from a tough Round 14 with the fastest time in Free Practice 1 ahead of the season finale in Berlin. Standings leader Nyck de Vries (Mercedes-EQ) bounced back from a disappointing Round 14 on Saturday with the fastest time on the reversed, clockwise variant of the Berlin Tempelhof Street Circuit in Free Practice 1. De Vries retired midway through race one in Berlin with a puncture, but managed to hold on to a slender advantage at the top of the Drivers’ World Championship after Lucas di Grassi’s race win on Saturday. Coverage of Free Practice 2 follows shortly, with qualifying ahead of the BMW i Berlin E-Prix presented by CBMM Niobium to come at 11:30 local time and the race at 15:30.
