Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) may have claimed his 10th pole of the season by over a tenth, which also ensured he’s now had a pole position at every circuit on the current calendar, but the 2019 Champion didn’t dominate around the whole lap in Q2 at the Motul Grand Prix of Japan.
Pramac Racing’s Jack Miller was the man to beat in Sector 1 onboard his Ducati GP19, heading Maverick Viñales (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) by over a tenth.
Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda Castrol) takes top honours in the second split, the British rider also sitting just ahead of Viñales.
