Fernando Alonso has left hospital just days after being struck by a car whilst cycling in Switzerland following successful surgery on his jaw. The Spaniard was pictured leaving the Bern hospital on Monday alongside a doctor after being discharged following his surgery. The race will now be on for Alonso to recover in time for the start of the new F1 season, which gets underway in Bahrain on March 28. The Spaniard claimed both his F1 titles with Renault in 2005 and 2006 and this season will be his third stint with the constructor. Alonso then returned to Renault for the 2008 and 2009 seasons before racing with Ferrari from 2010 until 2014.
