F1 favourite Daniel Ricciardo is blamed for starting a worldwide craze of doing a ‘shoey’, and he’s revealed just how much his fans want to do one with him. The F1 star then revealed just how ‘shoey crazed’ his fans are, approaching him in the streets of New York to drink with him. Despite how eager the fan was, Ricciardo had to decline the offer. ‘It was still daylight, so it wasn’t the time for it and I hadn’t won a race recently so it wasn’t right, but the shoey is real,’ he said. ‘I looked up the history, I believe it goes back to the very, very early days, I want to say I looked it up and I think it’s German, German ancestry,’ he said.
