Charles Leclerc kept alive talk of a move to Mercedes by refusing to rule out joining the team one day. The Ferrari driver was responding to reports in Italy that he is already in dialogue with the Silver Arrows – possibly as a replacement for Lewis Hamilton, when the seven-time world champion retires. Asked about suggestions Mercedes and he had spoken, Leclerc said: ‘No, there have not been any conversations, not yet, not for the moment. ‘For now, I am fully focussed on the project I am in today and that is Ferrari. ‘I fully trust, I am confident, and for the future we will see, but I am fully confident of the Ferrari project.’.
