Checo and Lance are taking on Portugal’s Autódromo Internacional do Algarve for the first time in a Formula 1 car, raising plenty of questions for the team to tackle. Keep an eye on these factors that will influence the Portuguese Grand Prix weekend. Just like Mugello before it, the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is new to Formula 1 this year. While at the Nürburgring, teams could rely on some historical data, this year’s Portuguese Grand Prix requires not only extensive pre-event simulation, but also ongoing studying of car dynamics, tyre behaviour and strategy during the weekend. Overall, this weekend’s venue could be described as a lower-speed circuit with some high-speed characteristics – and a very fun lap too!.
