Feature: Five Things to Watch in Sakhir

While calling it an oval is certainly a push, there’s no doubt Formula 1’s Bahrain Outer Track will be a high-speed thrill. Here are our five things to watch out for in the Sakhir Grand Prix weekend. Significant track evolution is possible due to the hundreds of laps done in the first Grand Prix event, but that potentially means the “new” part of the circuit used for the Outer Track layout will not be in such good shape. For comparison, the pole time for the Austrian Grand Prix this year was 1.02.939!. The Outer Track race will be 87 laps in distance, which is a whole 16 laps more than fellow short circuit Red Bull Ring.
