We were gutted to see Checo miss out on our home race – especially after his strong start to the 2020 season – but, of course, his safety and that of the whole team remains the absolute priority. While our Mexican star showed his support for the team from a distance, the fans showed theirs in return, with heart-warming messages flooding in throughout the weekend. Welcoming Nico back to the team was an unexpected twist to the weekend, but it was great to have our old friend return to the garage. In the end, the Safety Car put an end to his fun and prevented the team from making the most of our strategic tyre advantage from qualifying in the race.
