Get to know the new Formula 1 circuit in Hanoi that will host the Vietnam Grand Prix from 2020.
Formula 1 confirmed on Wednesday that Vietnam will become the latest nation to host a grand prix, with the first running of a race in Hanoi scheduled for 2020.
As well as announcing the new race, F1 confirmed the track layout for the street circuit in Hanoi, featuring 22 corners and coming to a length of over 5.5 km.
Whiting said Charlie Whiting thought a grand prix in 2020 “shouldn’t be a problem,” with an April date slot being announced by F1 officials as part of Wednesday’s unveil.
