Sergey Sirotkin says he has nothing to be “too angry” at Lewis Hamilton for following the pair’s near-miss during qualifying for the F1 Brazilian Grand Prix.
In a scramble to get flying laps in on slick tyres amid the increasing threat of rain towards the end of Q2, Sirotkin caught the back of Hamilton at the end of his out-lap, with the recently-crowned champion narrowly avoiding collecting the Williams driver as he inadvertently jinked into his path.
Sirotkin has since been summoned to the stewards for “driving unnecessarily slowly” on an in-lap during qualifying, with Haas driver Kevin Magnussen – who qualified 11th – has also been pulled up for the same infringement.
