Mercedes runs a special Niki Lauda tribute after becoming only the second team to win five consecutive F1 world drivers’ and constructors’ championships.
It sees the German manufacturer continue its F1 domination in the V6 hybrid era with five consecutive world title doubles – only achieved by Ferrari with Michael Schumacher previously between 2000-2004.
“Today, we’re also paying special tribute to Niki,” Toto Wolff said.
Toto Wolff: “Niki, you probably would have told us that we shouldn’t be so “damn emotional” today, but I think I speak for all of us when I say that we miss you and very much look forward to seeing you again soon.”
