New Toyota Gazoo Racing team principal Jari-Matti Latvala has praised Elfyn Evans’ ‘mature’ start to the FIA World Rally Championship year. “If you look at what Elfyn did on round one,” said Latvala, “there were no mistakes. Elfyn was clever not to take the big risk and now we will see what’s coming for the rest of the season. “I was talking with Gwyndaf [Evans, Elfyn’s father] a little bit. He’s feeling very comfortable with the team, he’s very comfortable with the car and you can see that he has everything now. I can see him to be fighting for the championship like he did last year.”.
