Title rivals Elfyn Evans and Ott Tänak were the men to beat on Thursday as they stormed to equal fastest time at the shakedown for this weekend’s Rally Italia Sardegna, round six of the FIA World Rally Championship. In response, Evans moved his Toyota Yaris up a gear during the fourth and final pass to match it. He was closely followed by team-mate Sébastien Ogier who was just 0.8sec further back.
