INDIANAPOLIS — Marcus Ericsson ran the fastest lap in the closing seconds of Saturday morning’s warmup session for the NTT IndyCar Series GMR Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. 8 Huski Chocolate Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing ran a quick time of 1:11.0839 around the 2.439-mile, 14-turn Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. That knocked talented newcomer Callum Ilott of Juncos-Hollinger Racing off the top of the timing charts after the Chevrolet driver ran a time of 1:11.1970. None of the 27 cars on track used a set of Firestone Red tires as the teams are saving them for the race. The start of Saturday’s GMR Grand Prix has been moved up to 3:07 p.m.
