Seventy-four crews head to the picture-postcard Mediterranean island of Sardinia next month for Rally Italia Sardegna (1 – 4 June), round six of the 2023 FIA World Rally Championship. Toyota Gazoo Racing fields four GR Yaris cars, with championship leader Kalle Rovanperä spearheading the team’s efforts. However, with Ogier present, the Japanese star will not contribute to Toyota’s manufacturers’ championship effort. M-Sport Ford has entered two Pumas for Ott Tänak, second in the points, and Pierre-Louis Loubet. Points leader Yohan Rossel leads the WRC2 field away in a Citroën C3, but he starts the event just one point clear of Škoda Fabia rival Oliver Solberg.
