A FORMULA 2 driver has survived a life-threatening crash at Silverstone after a car landed on top of him in a horror collision. Dennis Hauger’s car was launched into the air after he connected with a sausage curb on the second lap of this morning’s F2 race. Dramatic pictures show Hauger landing on the top of Nissany at high speed, but both drivers thankfully walked away from the crash. The incident occured at the end of the second lap at the penultimate Vale corner. The incident triggered the safety car as Silverstone officials rushed to check on the welfare of the two drivers. Hauger was last season’s F3 Champion and is a junior driver with Red Bull.
