Drive to Survive star Guenther Steiner reveals Daniel Ricciardo’s pay demands to join Haas despite struggles at McLaren: ‘Ten f***ing million dollars’

Haas team principal Guenther Steiner has inadvertently revealed how much Daniel Ricciardo wanted contract wise after he was released by McLaren at the end of the 2022 season. Steiner reportedly discusses Ricciardo’s request in the upcoming fifth season of Netflix’s Drive to Survive series. Haas were on the lookout for a replacement driver for Mick Schumacher – and the Aussie was tossed up as a solution. Discussing the matter with Haas’ top driver Kevin Magnussen, Steiner was quick to dismiss the option due to money demands. Ricciardo eventually returned to Red Bull, agreeing to be the team’s reserve driver for the 2023 F1 season.
