DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Due to challenges resulting from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the need for significant advance planning, NASCAR officials have removed the planned Auto Club Speedway event in Fontana, Calif., from the schedule. In its place, all three NASCAR National divisions will now compete on the Daytona Int’l Speedway Road Course during the weekend of Feb. 19-21, one week after the Daytona 500. The NASCAR weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway, which was to serve as the second event on the calendar for the NASCAR Cup Series, will now take place on Feb. 27-28. This will be the second time NASCAR has held a points event on the Daytona Int’l Speedway Road Course.
